Wealthy Rex Fortescue suffers a sudden and painful death while drinking tea in his office. When the police check the victim's pockets, they find grain. Miss Marple knows one of the servants in Rex Fortescue's house and comes to help solve the mystery. She soon suspects that she is dealing with a case of crime by rhyme.
